The Importance of Documenting Cardiff City Architecture

Cardiff is the capital and largest city of Wales, and one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the UK. It has a rich history, culture, and architecture that reflect its evolution from a small Roman fort to a major industrial and commercial centre.

Documenting Cardiff city with photography is important for several reasons. First, photography can capture the beauty and diversity of the city, its people, and its landmarks, and showcase them to the world. Second, photography can preserve the memory and heritage of the city, its events, and its changes, and create a visual archive for future generations.

I have chosen to illustrate in monochrome because it creates a dramatic and timeless effect, and highlight the shapes, textures, and contrasts of the cities architecture.
